Miss Piggy as Marie Antoinette Porcelain Doll by Enesco 1983 For your consideration is this VERY RARE Miss Piggy as Marie Antoinette porcelain doll. This is one of the most sought-after Sesame Street Muppet dolls ever made. Enesco put out a limited number of these elaborately costumed porcelain Piggy dolls in 1983. I believe they originally sold for $250. Miss Piggy has a porcelain head, bust, hands and feet. The rest of body is soft cloth. In mint condition in the original box with Certificate of Authenticity, which has Miss Piggy's & Jim Henson's signatures. This is the first issue of the "Famous Femmes du Histoire" series by Enesco. A plume of pink and purple feathers adorn a head full of blond tresses. This French maiden's dress is layered full of luxurious coordinating purple and pink fabric trimmed in lace. The bodice has a finely detailed embroidered section. Pink ribbon bows and a string of pearls finish out the accents. Miss Piggy stands approx 16" Tall (not including feathers). Always kept in box.
