Welcome to the DOGHOUSE!!!Someday we'll find it the eBay connection...the sellers, the bidders, and me !!!Presented in this listing is a gorgeous Lips (Un-Released 'Black' Shirt Variant) Action Figure Prototype , from the amazing line of Muppets collectibles brought to you from the fine folks at Palisades Toys!!This unique collectible is classified as a painted 2nd Shot Pre-Production Prototype !!! But this isn't just ANY prototype...it is an UN-PRODUCED item, meaning that the bottom dropped out along the way to factory production and no actual finished product exists.Special Features and Info• Item is fully painted but the factory had not added the sequin silver look that the final figure was supposed to have. The factory had said it could not be done and black was going to be the second option if the sequin silver paint method failed. This is the ONLY prototype known that was painted with the black color second option. The final figure was able to be painted with the silver color successfully. There may have been a second black version on hand, but its wheareabouts are not known.• Some texturing is not present and was still waiting to be added.• Some plastic deformations, "flashing" and marbling (production issues common among early prototype samples) are visible on the sample, but were subsequently removed prior to final mass production.• Minor detailing issues were going through revisions prior to submission for licensor approval.• Some of the joints have some tightness and looseness issues that were revised during the pre-production process.• There are some gaps and rough seam work on the figure.• Factory prototypes do not usually arrive in retail packaging, and none is included in this listing. Item will be carefully wrapped for shipment to your mantle!Limited EditionThis is a very limited edition sample from the production process of an action figure, statue or other collectible. Typically this stage of a figure only yields a small qty of samples, from as low as 1, and in other cases as many as 5 and up. All depends on the manufacturer. After time passes, it is often impossible to know how many survive the process OR the death of a company.
