Denizens of tropical forests, cockatoos may live 70 to 80 years, adorning the world with their bright colors, and filling the air with the music of their cries.And now Maestro Francesco, a master of the incredible art of Venetian glass, has created a stylized interpretation of this gorgeous species in a stylized sculpture by using pure silver foil inside the glass body. He utilized the traditional techniques, originated by the Renaissance glass makers, to create this masterpiece of colored glass.The "Cockatoo" premieres a collection of eight, hand-crafted, limited edition sculptures within the Exotic Birds of the World collection. Each Serves as a superb tribute to the classic art of the glass maker - an art which survives today due to the perseverance and genius of the remaining masters like Maestro Francesco.This piece is one of four I have for sale on eBay.The piece is in mint condition as it left the Formia Studios.
