You are bidding on a striking, vintage, cased glass ashtray/bowl . Its a very deep amber color with an array of bright colored canes and bright silver flakes. It has four folded down sections to use as an ashtray if desired. It is a very sophisticated mid century piece. It is thick and heavy. The piece measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and stands approximately 2 1/2 inches tall. The ashtray partially has its original red and silver label which reads: Genuine Venetian Glass, Made in Murano Italy. It was made in the 1950's or 60's. It is in good condition with no cracks but does have a very small flat chip on the base by the polished pontil and a little scuff. This imperfection does not show when the piece is upright. It would also be great to use as a bowl for snacks or just stand alone as an object d" arte. I have many Murano pieces for sale and I am happy to combine items for shipping.
