Museum Directed Hadrosaur Skin Bone Dinosaur Fossil 3 An amazing fossil find! A partial Mummified Hadrosaur Dinosaur Fossil. Somewhere east of Glendive, Montana, an excavation took place sanctioned by a museum. The cost of the excavation is not fully known but the effort was in the 10's of thousands. There was one exciting goal, get this incredibly preserved Dinosaur partial skeleton out of the ground. Keep in mind this dinosaur mummified, then became a fossil. Without mummification, the skin could not have fossilized. Sometimes when things don't go as planned, you and I benefit. The Sacrum shown in one of the pics still attached to the leg rolled down a hill. As a result a small number of this incredible find made it to the market. If you were one of the ones lucky enought to get a piece of it, you are truly lucky. If you were not, luck has come your way again. Check out the pics of the find. Also the entire tail was found. On the whole find was skin. Skin up and down the legs, all over the tail and even the toe nails were preserved on the fossillized ungals. Due to fortunate circumstances, the museum has released a very limited number of what was not needed to complete an entire hadrosaur skeleton. It was integrated with another find and you have a chance to own a piece. Listed is a very nice piece of skin with a bone impresssion. That means there is skin and evidence of bone still in its original relationship. This goes against the norm of bone with a skin impression. This is not a composite, has no restoration or repair and is all natural actual as found fossil very carefully preserved and impregnated to create a solid and amazing display. Few may have the opportunity to own such a piece and the value is easily much higher than asking price. Most pieces like this end up in museums and almost never are released for sale. This is a rare chance for one and all! A little more about this fossil. A skin impression is the sediment that has settled on the outside of the newly buried skin. This is the actual skin that would make the impression. It is approximately 2.75 inches x 1.85 high and .75 inches deep. Here is the rarest of rare gifts! There is amazing natural contour to this piece and the detail is absolutely the same as standing next to a live animal 65,000,0000 gone. This is the nicest piece left. Leg is for reference only and is part of this very fossil but not for sale. This is a true collectors item! Legally collected on leased land. Upper Cretaceous Hell Creek Formation, Glendive, Montana 65,000,000 years old. I accept Paypal and other.
