MUSEUM QUALITY!!! Presented for auction is a Victrola Cranked Floor Model Phonograph Player. It is a free standing squared, domed, solid mahogany cabinet phonograph with built-in horn and record storage compartment. The dome top measures 8" high, 22" by 23 1/4." Turntable is housed beneath a lift-up molded, flat-domed lid. Front center molding, brass e scutcheon with key. Acanthus leaf crockets decorate both front sides. This piece has a scrolled 2" high apron, short cabriole legs with carved scroll detail and brass wheeled casters. A 5" long brass crank with a wooden handle is located on the right hand side of the cabinet. Two center cabinet doors house the build-in horn. In the Center front of the cabinet is a solid mahogany pull-out shelf. Two front cabinet doors open on either side of the horn around the two smaller doors and the shelf. Behind the lower cabinet doors is a network of shelving for ten red cloth bound record storage albums with brass ring pulls. The inside of the cabinet doors have been marked with slight damage from the brass ring pulls. The albums are lettered in gold leaf with the letters A through J, with makers marks and gilt embossed accents. Each album has storage space for 16 records.
