This is an early brass carriage clock (my guess is in the 1880's) with a music box in the base. The wood bottom cover is damaged (as shown in the last picture), and has a label with No. 2136 and the titles of 2 different tunes: 1. Marching through Georgia, and 2. Mocking bird. Dimensions: 6" x 5" x 3 3/4", and height with handle is 7". The clock has a paper face somewhat rust-stained and a peculiar central logo that looks like a C surrounding a B. T is no other identification, but the clock's rear door has vertical corrugations resembling a Seth Thomas. The key is nested in the rear door and is original to the clock. The two non-beveled glass side panels are clean and unchipped. T are two small dials in the clock face, an upper second hand and a lower alarm setter. As to function: the clock runs very well for at least a couple of days, but I can't seem to get the music box to work well. I had it going for a short time but I am not a clock fixer and didn't want to fool around with it. I imagine it will be an easy fix for someone who knows what he is doing. This clock certainly shows its age, but it is mechanically sound, at least as a time keeper. The starting price is low and t is no reserve.
