The GG-W-113 is one of the most popular watches from the Vietnam Era. This watch is based closely on the original design but is PVD plated to make it 100% covert and non reflective. The watches at the time were made in a variety of slightly different styles by various manufacturers such as Benrus, Bulova, Waltham etc. This watch came about because in January 2009 MWC were approached by a US veterans association who asked them to examine the viability of making a watch which was identical in appearance to the original watches which were used during the Vietnam war. They were sent samples of watches to examine and also the original specification sheeets and the result was a watch which was very close to the original and uses a high grade fully jewelled handwound movement. As a result of making that watch MWC were contacted again with a view to recreating this unusual and unique PVD version.
