In the past few weeks I have picked up four near complete collections of Mexico and a number of scarce singles. I am going through these and you will find much of the listed material today from the beginnings of what I have now in stock. I am pleased to offer a multitude of early Mexican classic stamps and Postal History items that have come from some of the most advanced collections of Mexico to come on the market in years. There are hundreds of early issues with both better condition as well as better cancels that I will be listing over the next few months. I am also listing some wonderful cover where you can find pre-stamps, classic stamps, Postal stationary and special cancels. I will continue to put fine Mexican stamps and covers up to satisfy the novice to the advanced collectors. Please look at all my lots to find some great stamps and covers that can be added to your collection. Please don't make the mistake of thinking anything in Mexican stamps are common. Mexican stamps are some of the most difficult to find, and it is only because there are a limited number of collectors that you can purchase these at such good prices. So, please look at more than just this stamp. So, please take a look at the others I have listed and maybe you will find some items to add to your collection. Please enjoy!. Some of my markings you may not be familiar with:MOG = Mint original gum. This is what I may call anything from one that has a good amount of gum to one that is even lightly hinged. MNG = Mint NO Gum, in other words, one that has been soaked off or never had gum.MH = Mint Hinged, a category that covers anything from one that has been easily visible hinging to one that still has a hinge attached. MLH = Mint Light Hinge, a stamp that has very little of the original hinge mark showing. This can be one that obviously has been hinged, but is in no way a hinge noticeable.MNH = Mint Never Hinged, is a stamp that has no disturbance of the gum, from hinge or otherwise. Sc = Scott CatalogueNF = Nicholas Follansbee's catalogueY/B = Yag Bash Catalogue of Stampless cancels (pre-1856)SN = Sello Negro (Black Stamp) covers used when postage stamps were not available (after 1856).OOD = Out of District (These are cancels used either as cancellation at place of sending or as receiver cancels. Only on cover is there positive proof of use.) t-(numbers 1-10) = one of the ten relief types found on 1868 issues. t-with number = type - number on any items that needs separation of types. Tipo = Types of Mexico, the 1868 issues that were printed from the original stones, used in a contemporary postal fraud during 1870-71.Sz = Schatzkes catalogue number for cancels used from 1856 to 1872 issues.Sch = Schimmer Catalogue number (state, office#/cancel #) 1874 -1900 issues.District may be abbreviated, such as DGO = Durango, GDA = Guadalajara, GTO = Guanajuato, MAZ = Mazatlan, MEX DF = Mexico, OAX = Oaxaca, PUE = Puebla, QRO = Queretaro, SLP = San Louis Potosi, VCZ = Veracruz and ZAC = ZacatecasPlease note that images of stamps that are extra tall may have a line across them that is part of the holder I use for scanning. All of this material will have starting prices that represent very low retail for the lot. Condition varies, so some will be much better bargains than others, but most are far better than the average. Remember that if the stamp has full margins, these carry a 30% premium in NF catalogue values because catalogue prices in NF are for F-VF . So, don't pass up this opportunity to add excellent material to your collection.
