ZUNI STERLING SILVER

THUNDERBIRD BOLO TIE

Hand made by Myra Tucson

DESCRIPTION:

Myra Tucson's Bolo Tie is hand made of Sterling Silver forming the image of a Thunderbird. The Thunderbird is both Channel Inlay and Mosaic Inlay Turquoise, Mother-Of-Pearl, Red Coral, Shell and Jet. Also has hand woven leather. The Piece is unsigned. I am sure that the Bolo was made by Myra Tucson. I found two similiar pieces. On page 48 of "Zuni The Art and The People" Vol 1 is a Bolo Tie that is very much like this Bolo Tie. The National Museum of the American Indian has a Brooch/Pin that is made similiar to this Bolo Tie. This is a very old and collectible Bolo Tie.
