Up for bid is an HO Brass semaphore signal- an N&G Signal Co. ERIE RR(later Erie Lackawanna later Conrail; latest CSX has announced that they are retiring the last of these signals) brass HO type S Semaphore Signal; built up and painted. Universally recognized as the only HO signals which are 100% accurate renditions of the real thing, N&G Signal kits have been sought for years by modelers and collectors who recognize the best. The proprietor of N&G Signal Co. has recently produced some new components and has hand assembled and painted a very limited amount of first time available ERIE Type S semaphores. This is made from brass investment cast spectacle, semaphore motor, light housing, and equipment base. The mast is brass tubing, and the ladder and semaphore blade are fashioned from photoetched phosphor bronze. Decals for the blades were made for this signal. This signal has an operating light box with a 1.5 V bulb installed, and the spectacle roundrels are injection molded in the correct 3 colors (Red Yellow Green). The base has a hollow threaded mounting stud which the an operating piano wire extends down to the under table motorizing system (which is not included-the buyer will get a hardware pack which includes a rod clamp which clamps to the operating Rod on one end, and attaches to the buyer supplied motorizing unit).
