You are bidding on an original manufacturer's/contractor's model of the 1974 North American Rockwell B-1 Lancer. The aircraft depicted is 74-0158, the first of 3 (or 4) B-1 prototypes. After testing at Edwards, it was eventually dismantled and used as a weapons trainer at Lowery AFB, CO. The model is plastic with a span of 7 1/4" swept and 13 3/4" open, making the scale somew around 1:125. The base is lucite and aluminum. The model swivels in all attitudes. Sitting level it measures 8 1/4" to tip of fin. Condition is excellent: a few pinpoint areas of decal loss and very small scuffs, all of which should be visible in scans. I purchased it at the NAA company store near LAX in the early '80s. I've been told it was made by RoLen Plastics, one of Topping's successors (Precise was the other). Also included is an enameled B-1 medalion given to me by a patient/Rockwell employee over 25 years ago. It is 1" in diameter.
