Up for auction is a hinged jewelry box made by CF Monroe. It has a beautiful light blue background with hand painted violets on lid and front bottom. I believe the pattern is called Bishops Hat. Has a brass colored metal trim that encompasses the rims of lid and base. This piece measures just under 4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. The only problem I could find was the hinge in the back is bent a little and needs to be straigtened to stabilize the opening and closing of box. It looks like it might have had some minor reairs t at one point also. Please see picture. Overall this is such a beautiful piece its hard to part with, but my beloved cat of 10 years, "Dusty" just ran up a nice medical bill and must be paid somehow so my loss is definitely your gain on this one!!
