A Rare Find. A very large Early Seed Pot By the Well Known Potter Virginia Gutierrez of the Nambe/Pojoaque Pueblos. This piece has been owned by me since late 1970's and I purchased it near the POEH Center on the Pojoaque Pueblo. The little shop had a few pieces of pottery and I bought this piece. It weighs 2 1/2 pounds and is 19" in circumference LARGE by any standard. It is her raised and incised Polychrome in its early days. I have photographed each of the four sides, top and bottom and showed areas w t is paint loss. I am not sure that this is not a truly rare find for this artist's work. Beautiful in it's coil work, insised and raised design. I have put a reserve on this piece to ensure that I protect my investment. I will accept Pay Pal from Verified Members with atleast 5 Positive Feedbacks. Do not plan to pay with Pay Pal if you do not qualify. I will accept Certified Check or Money Order which must arrive within 7 days of the close of the auction. I am requiring INSURANCE for this piece Please ask all questions before bidding. I will answer quickly and as completely as I can. I can also supply more photos.
