You are bidding on the Mess Dress Jacket of Major General Kenneth E. Dohleman, former commander of the Army District of Washington (aka Military District of Washington) during the early part of the Carter Administration. This jacket was made by Lautersteins, which was one of the premier custom uniform manufacterers of the day. This jacket is named and is in great shape. The stars have been removed from the jacket, but the cuff braid is intact (loose in some places and the middle thread is coming out in a few places. The braid is tarnished which is typical. Think of all the history associated with the jacket and all the famous people that the General visited in his capacity. Buyer prepays and pays only actual shipping costs. I reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason. Own this piece of history today!
