named wwll poughkeepsie a-2 jacket, size 44

this is a wwll era poughkeepsie a-2 jacket in near perfect condition. the horsehide is in exelent condition, with no dry rot tears, and no loose stitching. the patina is beautiful. my photos do not do justice to just how special this a-2 is. the label reads: poughkeepsie leather coat co. inc. n.y. the liner is in exelent condition, and the collar of the liner is in perfect condition. printed on the liner is the pilots name: r. glaspell. the zipper is an original, tripple marked, deco, talon. the zipper runs perfectly, and t is no seperation. t are stitch holes w a name tag was, which is not uncomon for these jackets. t is an original army air forces star and wings decal on the left upper sleeve. the knits appear to be a war time or post war replacement, and t is no mothing. all in all this is a museum quality a-2 in every day wearable condition. the jacket label reads size 44, however please note these measurements, taken with the jacket laid flat. arm pit to arm pit: 22 1/2 ", front windflat: 22 1/2", sleeve from shoulder to end of leather: 22", sleeve from shoulder to end of knit 24", shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18 3/4", back from base of collar to end of knits:25
