Up for consideration is a wonderful and colorful Nana inflatable sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle.This sculpture has never been inflated and has been removed from it's packaging only to photograph for this Ebay listing.It was designed by famous artist Niki de Saint Phalle and disributed May 1,1968,on the occasion of the opening of the Central Park Conservatory,the statuary for which was created by the artist.I have included a photo of this opening day.Look closely and you will see some of these inflatable Nanas being played with and one that looks exactly like the one being offered here tossed in the air.The Nana listed is about 22" tall x18" across.The bright neonlike colors are light and bright pink,green and black and depict a woman in a bathing suit in an animated posture.The sculpture has been personally signed by the artist,Niki de Saint Phalle, in blue pallpoint pen on one side.
