Highly interesting Brevet de General De Brigade. 14" x 18" Signed BONAPARTE - Date: trente fructidor - l'an onze de la Republique. Document is signed by Le Ministre de la Guerre, Le Secretaire d'Etat and Bonaparte. Has Original official seal. Has sticker on reverse from Bibliotheque Victor Morin - Montreal - Brevet shows service record of Leopold Lionville and also his Campaigns, Actions and wounds. It was always my understanding that this document was signed by Napoleon Bonaparte. It has now been brought to my attention that many historians consider that the signatures were really effected by Joachim Murat - I am not enough an expert in these matters to offer a valid opinion.
