Napoleon III ormolu mounted kingwood cartonnier of kidney form having an arched superstructure crested by a ribbon-tied foliate swag, centering a round clock, flanked by a pair of two-light floral ormolu candelabra. The lower superstructure fronted by four gilt tooled leather drawers. The incurved writing surface inset with a matching tooled leather surface all within a heavy ormolu shaped edge, over a conforming frieze with three drawers. The sides and back finished with ormolu mounts centered by a festooned garden trophy. Raised on tapering square sectioned legs encrusted with ormolu mounts. 47` H x 55`W x 27`D, Circa - Late 19th C.
