My deceased father was an avid collector of all things Napoleon Bonaparte. This sabre is part of his collection. Since I know little of its history, I contacted Bonham & Butterfield's in Los Angeles to have it appraised. I sent these photos to a wonderful gentleman who informed me that it is a YEAR NINE LIGHT CAVALRY SABRE. This sabre has no scabbard or sheath, it is being sold as you see it in these pictures. T is some rust on the blade which I have made no attempt to alter. I was told it was worth anyw from $800-$1400 in its condition. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance.
