Up for bid is an authentic Apollo 11 commemorative 2nd Anniversary of the first lunar landing medallion. This piece reads : "The eagle has landed and has the date July 20, 1969" on the front and "This medallion contains metal from spacecrafts Columbia and Eagle, that took Austronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins on their historic Apollo 11 mission that resulted in the first landing on the Moon" on the back. This medallion is in a protective hard plastic case with a blue background.

I am listing for a friend whose mother worked at NASA Space Center in Houston from 1961 - 1985. This is an authentic NASA item that has been carefully packed away for a long time in great condition with a few tiny scratches on the case.
