Published in 1964, this manual is a technical explanation of every feature of the Gemini Agena Target Vehicle, produced by the Lockheed Missile & Space Corporation. The Gemini Agena Target Vehicle (ATV) was launched into orbit atop an Atlas rocket, where a Gemini mission could dock with it. This provided NASA with data and astronauts with training in preparation for docking during the future Apollo lunar mission. This manual was published for the launch of Gemini 6, in 1965. Unfortunately, the Atlas rocket which was to have carried the Agena into space exploded on the ground, taking the ATV with it. Docking with an ATV would not occur until 1966, during Gemini 8.

This giant technical manual is filled with technical information and schematics. There is some slight discoloration to the tabs and to the notebook itself, but, overall, it is in good condition. The cover insert has the name "CAPT. SALYER" printed on it. I'm not sure who Captain Salyer was, but he evidently worked for either NASA or Lockheed.
