I am the original owner and builder of this NASCAR model carkit. I don’t remember exactly which brand it is but it is probably one of the regular companies of the time maybe Monogram or Revell. I probably built this around 1971/72 and it looks as though it is a 1970/71 race car model. The model is in very good shape considering the age (approx. 37yrs.) It has been stored either on a shelf with a saran wrap cover, boxed in storage, or for the last 13 years displayed in a glass case. So dust contamination is at a minimum though t is some noticeable evidence around the corners of the windows. The decals are all still attached and in pretty good shape. The #43 on the roof has some minor damage and hairline cracks but it is still all completely attached to the surface. The #43 in driver door and rear deck have very minor hairline cracks but are still completely attached. These are probably due to age and drying out conditions. The driver side door net has been removed or broken off from the role frame. I don’t remember whether or not I once removed it in order to see inside the car. The body is the stock plastic color not spray painted. The wheels are painted a contrasting blue. I believe all the other parts are painted per instructions. The front wheels turn independent of each other. None of the four wheels rotate. T is my cardboard spoiler extension modification on the front which is a little loose. For shipping I will wrap the car in bubble wrap and put it in a small box surrounded with packing peanuts and those small air filled bags. I will ship USPS Priority. Please be advised that some pieces may inevitable break their glue seal during shipping. After all it is 37 year old glue, but they should be easily re-glued into their original position. It is still a little risky trying to ship something like this, so only bid on this if you are willing to accept this possibility. I also have 4 other NASCAR models from this era to put up for auction.
