Hi and thanks for looking. Fast approaching the big FIVE-ZERO and running out of space! You are bidding on a full set of 5 / five Nat West / NatWest Pigs fro m the 1980s including a rare "REAL" SUNSHINE CERAMICS WOODY plus Wade Maxwell, Annabel, Lady Hilary & Sir Nathaniel On the underside of Woody is an embossed B . A scratched E has also been added prior to firing / glazing. The others are all embossed WADE ENGLAND The Sunshine Ceramics moulded Woody is a completely different size, shape and weight (312g) to the Wade version and differs in base shape. The nappy also curves upwards at the belly by the safety pin whereas the Wade version is straight. Apparently, when Wade became the manufacturer, they redesigned the Sunshine moulds to allow for easier and quicker production. As can be seen in the photographs, the Sunshine Woody is a little faded & worn on the pin & the nappy has discoloured slightly, but as I understand, the sunshine versions are known to be of a poorer lasting quality. Sir Nathaniel has a small surface paintwork hairline scratch on his back and Maxwell a tiny paint chip on his trousers, just below and to his left of his left braces strap.
