Offering the classic figural corn bitters .... NATIONAL BITTERS / PATENT 1867 .... Upon first glance, one would consider this an amber corn, which is quite the contrary. This example has red tones below the label panel with swirls of light red throughout the mid section. The neck and applied top coincide with the color of the base. I purchased this as a reddish puce example, you may call it otherwise. Great whittled label panel, bold embossing and a great drip on the applied top, not to mention the colorful wisps and swirls. Upon close inspection, one will notice a base bruise / crack , that is approximately 3/8" X 1" , located @ 3 o'clock on the base. It looks to be a sliver with all glass intact. Difficult to capture in picture and unnoticed when displayed. No other chips, stains or repairs. Even with the base issue, one must consider this a desirable and not often seen color. (Shipping & ins. $12.50, 3 day return) ............ Thank You.
