This National Brass Cash Register was in perfect working condition when I stoped using it in 1985. Has been in my living room and in a closet in my kitchen since then. It is serial # 256887 which dates it to 1901. Has a 24 hour day/night (black and white) clock on one side and a paper device on the other. Under the lid, all the keys and counters work. There is even a counter for how many times the lid has been opened. The register has a $30.00 key as the highest. This register is VERY HEAVY. Draw inside has wear, and also has a tax slot. Spring works fine behind drawer. There is 1 piece of wood trim on the side that needs repair. I have the piece as you can see in the #11 picture. Never restored. All origional. Drawer contents in picture not included., Shelf is in great condition.
