This is an old but excellent condition Nationalist Chinese Marine Amphibious Reconnaissance badge made of thick, lightweight silver metal whose design dates back to at least the early 1970's. The Chinese characters on the long suspension bar translate to "Marine Amphibious Reconnaissance". I don't know if they are still using this badge. On the reverse, the badge has 2 clutch pins on the suspension bar with 2 metal clutches. IF I SHOULD SUDDENLY not answer your emails, or not put items into my usual Sunday auctions or not send Ebay Invoices for items that you have just won, or all of the above, please be patient. For reasons known only to God and Ebay , unless I schedule my items ahead of time, Ebay doesn't seem to be able to put all of my 15 items under my Milbadge User ID for 6 - 8 hours after I put them on beginning at 0745 PST (0745 Arizona time) every Sunday morning. They are t - you just can't see them for 6 - 8 hours. If you don't see them beginning at 0745 PST on Sunday morning, please look again in 6 - 8 hours for all 15 items. ONE SUNDAY, IT TOOK 28 HOURS BEFORE EBAY PUT THE LAST 13 OF MY ITEMS UNDER MY USER ID. Payment may be made with a US$ personal check, US$ money order or US$ in cash (your risk). For my overseas collector bidders ( OVERSEAS COLLECTORS ONLY, PLEASE ): If you need to send payment by PayPal to avoid hardship in obtaining dollars or money orders, please contact me for your total payment amount with shipping and handling. PLEASE DO NOT SEND A PAYMENT BY PAYPAL UNTIL I LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE CORRECT TOTAL PAYMENT SHOULD BE WITH SHIPPING AND HANDLING. NO WESTERN UNION PAYMENTS, PLEASE - It will cost you a lot more than PayPal and I have to travel several miles to find a Western Union office. US Postal Rates went up on 14 May 2007. The new rates are still based on weight but now also size. I will continue to send all metal items and certain thick bullion items in padded envelopes to protect them. Optional insurance (available in the US only) is $1.65 additional up to $50, $2.05 additional up to $100, $2.45 additional up to $200, $4.60 additional up to $300, $5.50 additional up to $400, $6.40 additional up to $500, $7.30 additional up to $600, and $7.30 + .90 additional for each $100 over $600 up to $5000 (maximum liability). Registered mail from the US now costs an additional $10.15. Registered Mail can be sent to almost all countries, but if lost, the Postal Service will pay only a small maximum depending on weight, size and country regardless of a larger item value claimed when mailing. I have had only one Registered item lost in the mail, but if it is, the Postal Service will reimburse me the maximum amount for that particular item which I will send to the buyer. Any value amount of the item sent (plus postage) over the amount the Post Office decides to give is forever lost. Registered Mail can only be insured to a few countries. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS WHEN THE BUYER DECIDES NOT TO PAY THE SMALL EXTRA CHARGE TO HAVE THEM SHIPPED BY INSURED MAIL (IN THE US) OR BY REGISTERED MAIL (OUTSIDE THE US). If you are outside the US, let me know w you are located and I will find out what your shipping charges will be. If you win more than one of my items, the total shipping charge will be lower than it would be for all the single item shipping charges added together. I WILL WAIT UNTIL THE END OF MY ENTIRE AUCTION ON SUNDAY AND THEN DETERMINE THE REDUCED SHIPPING CHARGE FOR THOSE BIDDERS WHO WON MORE THAN ONE ITEM. Please contact me concerning payment WITHIN 3 DAYS of the end of the auction. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
