To down large animals like the buffalo, with a bow and arrow, the tribesmen needed a large, powerful bow, capable of penetrating the buffalo's thick hide, the arrows they used w on the longer side, with large arrow heads, (bone and metal preferred, easier to balance and sharpen) the longer shafts and large heads w needed to, for weight and penetrating power, and to keep the arrow from shattering,when being fired from these large, powerful bows.....

Our reproduction of the Buffalo Bow and Arrow Quiver is made with and comes with... A 48" (heavy weight) bow made from premium grade red oak, with artificial sinew wrapped wings (more strength and power) coyote fur wrapping, buckskin wrapped handle and fringes, buckskin wrapped imitation eagle feathers with glass indian crow beads attached to fringes, high dome brass tacks,15 strand artificial sinew bow string, marked in warrior's colors, the quiver is made from aged buckskin, with 5 metal conchose with turquoise gem insets, 1 large gold on silver metal plate conchos, hairpipe beads with solid brass crow beads attached to quivers body and tie-down straps, laced quiver mouth, buckskin shoulder strap with imitation eagle feather attached to strap.( the tribesmen or warrior took a lot of pride in their arrow quiver, and how they looked, usually beautifully decorated with beads, conchos, fringes and lace work) the quiver comes with three 30" long arrow, each arrow has a 2 1/4" hand carved bone arrow head, with turkey feather fletching, all securely wrapped in artificial sinew, arrows are marked in warriors colors or markings.
