I couldn't capture the exact color. These are a soft red, but more red than the picture. Back in the 70's a gallery representative named Ann McMackin would travel around with stock. She represented several of the Native American craftsmen and she was pricey. I bought these from her when I also bought a rather fabulous necklace of red trade beads with sterling beads interspersed. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't pay $750 for these earrings. Those were the times. T's a crack in one piece of coral which looks like an indentation in the picture: the piece on the earring on the right, the farthest to the right piece of vertical coral. The piece is solid in the bezel setting and isn't at risk. Otherwise the earrings are in excellent vintage condition. They weigh 20 grams for the two of them, are 1" wide and the length of the coral area with the ring is 1-3/4". The length to the top of the finding is 2-1/2". As they are now with this finding, they hang 2-1/2". I don't remember the name of the artist and they are unmarked. T are raindrops interspersed between the pieces of coral and they could use a cleaning; they'd look good with a shine, but I'll leave that to the next owner. My home is pet free and smoke free.
