Santa Clara/Pojoaque PotteryArtist : Lois GutierrezDimensions : 9 " tall x 8 3/4" wideThis beautifully painted vase has the unmistakable markings of famed potter, Lois Gutierrez. Lois uses her roots in both Santa Clara and Pojoaque pueblos to create pieces that are full of unique design work and special characteristics. This vase has a gorgeous traditional shape with a lower set and rounded inflection. The piece is painted with a gorgeous scene depicting a weaver woman at her loom. She weaves a beautiful red blanket on a traditional loom and the design incorporates many traditional geometric patterns. The coloring and crisp clean design work combine for a look of wondrous beauty. The piece is signed as shown in the photo.All of our pottery items are shipped DOUBLE BOXED to prevent damage during their travels.
