These moccasins are made out a very soft golden colored buckskin leather, I don't think it is smoked or indian tanned but it is very soft. They are a high top moccasin with the tops going up the leg a distance of 12", the sole measures 9 3/4" long and 4 1/2" at the widest part. T is a leather tongue that measures 7 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide. The right moccasin has a rubber "lift" glued on the rear outer portion of the sole, perhaps for a correction for a bad foot for the previous owner, see photo to help clarify my description. T are no holes in the moccasins except for a couple of holes w you need to put in some leather thongs to tie them around your ankles. The beading is of the lazy stitch method and t is one area on the right moccasin perimeter border that has come loose for a couple of rows but the beads are intact, just loose from the bottom stitch, again see the photo. The beads are about a size 12 or so and the colors are sky blue, white, black, red and orange. T are 3 rows on the top of the foot and the perimeter border that goes all around the moccasin. The enclosure for the top of the wrapping is a hook and loop circle that is self adhering, could be something better suited to the application. These moccasins came to me from one of the members of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs in Central Oregon. Thanks for looking at this auction.
