This is a wonderful old Paiute Indian beaded basket. It is small, measuring 1 3/4" tall and 2 1/4" across the opening and about 3" side to side. It is in beautiful condition, with no missing beads, tears or damage whatsoever. The weave inside is very nice. All of the beads are intact. They start with dark blue on the bottom, then green, then yellow, then red with bits of white. I am not certain of the age of this basket, but remember seeing it with the rest of my parent's collection at least as far back as 1970. All of the baskets went to auction with the exception of a few local baskets that were given to my parents by local Indians. I assume this is one that was given to them.
