This is a highly polished redware potteryjar from Santa Clara Pueblo . The piece measures 3 ½ inches tall and 3 ½ inches in widest diameter. It features a deeply carved featd sky serpent (or Avanyu) motif. The jar is in very good condition, with only the subtle imperfections typical of handmade pottery. The bottom is signed GWEN TAFOYA, SCP . I accept payment by Paypal, money order/cashier's check, or personal check. Insured shipping is $12. Shipping to United States only. Paypal, cashiers checks/money orders and personal checks are accepted. I will send an Ebay invoice within 24 hours of auction end. Please respond to this invoice within 24 hours. Payment must be received within 10 days of auction close. Traditional hand-coiled Hopi pottery bowl . The bowl is 2 ½ inches tall and 8 ½ inches in diameter. T is a 3-inch hairline crack, a 1 ½ x ½ inch rim chip, a 2-inch white streak (paint?) adjacent to the hairline, and other small scuffs and wear associated with its age and travels. The bowl is signed, but I can't identify the artisan.
