Welcome to my auction! You are bidding on a custom sewn dress. This dress is made from wrinkle resistant, machine washable, high quality quilting cotton, your choice of colors. It features 6 plus yards of fabric and 36 yards per color of Cut Ribbonwork in the Diamond pattern. The skirt has an elastic waist that has an opening to adjust the elastic through. The bottom of the skirt has a run of cut ribbonwork above (3) 1 inch deep folds. The over blouse has clean simple lines and can be worn separately. Cut Ribbonwork is fast becoming a lost art, I am one of few seamstresses who will offer this difficult craftwork to you. I use only high quality dressmakers ribbon. The ribbon usually costs as much as, or more than the fabric. All ribbon is sewn on both edges so it will never curl or look nasty after being laundered. I take the time to stitch all seams twice then finish them with the serger. This is an expertly sewn garment, that will stand up to the washer and dryer. It is sewn to be worn, danced in and put to the test of time. Turn it inside out and it is neat and tidy with no fraying edges. Care, size and Mimike signature labels are sewn into the side seam.
