This is a fur-lined pipebag with a small catlinite pipe. I bought these from a Pawn/Antique shop in Dubuque, Iowa about 1995. I was told that this might be a women's personal pipe, or a young warior, possibly reservation period or older 1800's - 1930 or 40). Possibly Sauk/Fox, Iowa, or Osage. The pipe has a carved mans face w/mohawk. Still smells of burned tobacco. Wood stem with...looks like sinew/buckskin tied, unknown feathers, and some kind of red wool or cloth. The bottom of the pipe has four hoof prints, with squigley or lightning lines. Pipe shows some wear. The bag is fur lined (unknown animal) and painted green and yellow with small tufts of the same cloth/wool sinew sewn around the bag. Cinch buckskin tie, and fringe at the bottom with tin cones. The bag is roughly 11" x 5" and the pipe will fit in your hand.
