Michigan Native Float Copper Michigan native vein copper that has been removed from its natural geological deposits by glacial activity. During this era of time, continental ice flows carried and redistributed the copper as far as 500 miles away. Pieces that are found may range in weight, from less than an ounce into tons. This specimen is covered with pieces of silver!! It's hard to focus on the silver...believe me, the pictures don't do it any justice. On my bathroom scale, it weighs about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds. It was found in Isle Royale Mine #7 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The measurements are approximately 6" x 3 1/2 " at its widest and longest points. A MUST HAVE for your collection!!!!
