These intricate delicate geometric snowflakes look very striking against the dark green branches of the evergreen. But they can also be attractively displayed in your window. History: This folk art was used extensively in Lithuania before WWI. The fretwork patterns are handcrafted from natural golden wheat and rye straw in the USA by artists of Lithuanian descent. Artists:Carol Luschas along with her mother, Elaine and sister, Chrissy have been creating Lithuanian ornaments made from natural straw since 1999.
