PACIFIC TIGER NAUTILUS > What are we offering. Tiger Nautilus shell. Size of shell. 5 to 5 7/8 inches. Price of shell. $14.75 What is a Tiger Nautilus. It is a Cephalopod. A light-weight thin shelled species. Its shell is partitioned into chambers. In the listings that are center and tri cut, the chambers are evident. As the shell grows the Nautilus moves from one chamber and forms another. The brown stained area is w the animal lived. this area is called a beak. Beaks are different in every Nautilus, be they Pearl or Tiger Nautilus. The Tiger Nautilus has reddish brown stripes encircling the cream colored shell. Average size of a full grown Nautilus is 6 inches. Most Nautilus' are found in the Indo Pacific waters. Accuracy of listing picture. The picture accurately shows the shape and coloration of the Tiger Nautilus. It cannot show the beak uniqueness of each Nautilus. Again, we are offering one 5 to 5 7/8 inch Tiger Nautilus shell.
