This striking Pendleton reversible heavy weight woolen blanket was pawned in Gallup, New Mexico and not redeemed. It is referred to as a robe, meaning that it does not have fringe and was used by a man. The women's blankets are called 'shawls' and they do have fringe. This blanket's colors are primarily turquoise with reds, burgundy, oranges, golds, tans, black, and white in the pattern, and it has turquoise edging. It measures about 48" by 69". It is in excellent condition with no pilling, holes or stains. However, it will benefit from dry cleaning as it has some light soiling. I am sure the buyer would want to have it cleaned anyway as it has been used in either the home or ceremonies. This blanket will be a nice addition to your Pendleton blanket collection and a great gift for anyone appreciative of the Native American/Navajo culture. It is gorgeous! It will also be great to accessorize your Southwestern-style bedroom or den. And, with proper care, Pendleton blankets can endure and be beautiful for decades.
