This is a great looking GERMANTOWN NAVAJO RESERVATION SAMPLER RUG, from the 1900-1920 range. The size is 22" X 21", with a cotton warp count of 10 and a Germantown wool weft of 40! A very fine weave as is typical of Germantowns. A bright red, a deep blue and a subtle grey. Purple/gold top selvage and grey/red bottom selvage cords. All selvage - top/bottom selvage cords and side selvage warp - 100% intact and in great conditon!
Near MINT condition - 1 very light almost a stain (see 4th photo left hand column, a very small area of color shift) and 3-4 tiny spots w 1 missed weft thread is exposing a 1/10" of white cotton warp. NO Holes, NO bleeding, NO fading, NO fraying...! Both sides photographed. Beautiful dazzler pattern! Guaranteed Authentic Navajo Nation Sampler Rug.
