This Navajo Rug is a pictorial design that has incorporated the Navajo Chief Blanket pattern. In the right corner of the rug is a Navajo Hogan (round house), a livestock corral, and a yucca plant. On the left is the Chief Blanket pattern with a Navajo wedding basket, from it grows a corn stalk. Below is an eagle feather. This is a very culture rich design and the artist put a lot of spiritual feelings into it; it is almost too personal to offer on the market. This is a fine portrayal of modern and traditional Navajo culture. Very interesting and would make a fine art discussion piece and a wall hanging that will spark many interesting conversations. This rug measures approximately 2' by 3' and is a good size for a wall hanging or to be drapped over a sitting chair. Would also go great with southwest decor or a cabin themed house. Retailed on the Navajo reservation at most trading posts for $400 to $500, I am offering it today at auction starting at $100. Good luck bidding. By the way, the colors are outstanding!
