This Navajo Transitional Period child's blanket / rug is in great condition for its age. This weaving has apparent serape pattern influence - not uncommon for weavings from this period. It is made with hand spun ivory, brown / black, and grey wool along with very bright analine transitional orange/red. It measures 58" X 40". T is slight wear which can be expected considering its original purpose. T is one small hole, minor orange/red bleeding, a few stains, and three of the four tassels are present. This weaving could use a good professional cleaning and minor repairs which should restore this collectable to great overall condition - most bleeding and soiling could probably be removed by an experienced rug cleaner. The colors are vivid, and both sides are photographed for your review. Thanks for looking, and good luck in the auction. Be sure to add me to your favorites list as I am always listing vintage Native American collectables!
