U.S. Naval Facility Brawdy Wood & Ceramic Plaque This unique U.S. Naval Facility Brawdy Plaque was purchased at a recent estate sale in the area U.S. Naval bases Naval Station Norfolk, Oceana, and Little Creek/Fort Story. The plaque could have very well belonged to a local veteran stationed at Brawdy at one point in their military career. The plaque measures approximately 7.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. Made out of a dark wood and features the U.S. Naval Facility Crest on a ceramic circle in the middle. Plaque is in great condition with no major chips or imperfections! Has a screw hole on the back of it for placement on a wall. Below, I have posted the history of the Naval Facility Brawdy. Naval Facility Brawdy, Wales was commissioned 05 April 1974. A thriving major facility within the IUSS, the positive effects of continued growth were evident in every arena: Operations Technology, Communications, Construction, Security, Manpower, Community Outreach Programs, Administration, Supply and Retention. Welsh roads leading to NAVFAC Brawdy may well have been narrow and winding, but those that led from the station were wide open and ever expanding.
