1944 or 1945 Navy Aircraft Repair Unit , Navy 145 stationed on Island somew in Pacific,, Does not say what Island but was taken by Army and Marines as Cemetary Pictures within and memorial Chapel built by natives for American Dead, pictures of destroyed Japanese ships in lagoon with massive battle damage. Basically pictures on pages of Navy repairing airplanes, not much written, just states ARU Navy 145 , titles of pages, morning quarters, the skipper, colors, red tape dept. clearing for first quarters march 1943, memorial chapel , cemetary, divine services, crews quarters, tent city, indoor sports, lines for chow, chow down, baseball, recreation, native life, native boats, nip nightmares , island magic, repair photos of plane parts, cpo club, uso shows, stateside bound, must have been an important island as recognize some of the u.s.o. stars that performed. center page is loose from staples, book is ok but worn, rated average with end of binding outside worn, Rare book, looked up in Navy history and no known copies have been located but must reside in private hands, hardcover book with 20-30 pages 8half by 10 inches, The Navy says that t is no known copy location of this book on their cruise ship bibliography page.
