This flight helmet is model APH-5 made by the Mine Safety Appliances Company. The visor will raise and lower but takes a little effort. The interior padding of the helmet is very dry and falling apart. The mic apparatus appears to be retrofitted and is Sierra Brand. There is a plug for the mic and also one going into the rear of the helmet. I would say that overall that this helmet is in good condition for its vintage, but you can definitely tell that it was used for quite some time. I also am selling several military jackets/coats in a different posting. They are all from the same person.
