To view like items search NCOFFIN.These coins were used as Japan's answer to the American Morgan silver dollar. The problem was it is .7801 to the Morgan .7734 Ounce. Traders would accept these and promptly melt them to gain the .0067 difference.It is also hard to imagine these coins escaping the melt of the Pacific War. We know now that Japan had an atomic bomb project that required massive amounts of silver and copper. The fact the project was not successful should not distract from the fact that coinage in banks was melted for that project, making these coins very rare, to my mind.Paypal fine.
