Matchlessantiques is offering collectors and smiths this NEAR MINT 130 lb. Peter Wright Blacksmith Anvil. This anvil has the trademark reads; "PETER, WRIGHT, PATENT, MADE IN, ENGLAND, SOLID WROUGHT (in the shape of a circle)". The weight marks read "1 - 0 - 18" which is English stone weight system for 130 lbs. The numbers "130" on the front foot may also indicate the anvil's weight in pounds. The anvil has an excellent rebound. This anvil is shown in Anvils... though the ages on page 30 . Please take a close look at the pictures.Peter Wright & Sons of Dudley, England earned the reputation of being the most well-known, quality anvil maker in the world by producing excellent anvils and tools for over 200 years.
