A Near Pair of Miniature Paintings / Porcelain Portrait Plaques with Fanciful Brass Filigree Frames. German or French ~ be your own curator! One image depicts a Gypsy woman and the other depicts a little girl piering over her left shoulder. Both are hand painted and not some kind of a transfer print. The smaller measures 3 1/2" tall and the larger measures 4" tall. The condition is excellent having no chips, no cracks, and no repairs to either tile. For accuracies sake we will mention that the smaller plaque is slightly dislodged and out of center within its frame. This is not damage, but rather a detail that we felt noteworthy. Searched for marks, but found none. We are not comfortable opening the backs of the frames to look for marks for fear of causing damage. We leave this decision to the buyers discretion.
