Neat vintage Hire's Root Beer barrel sign. Old fellow was first used in 1930's on an old oaken barrel. Lots of favorite liquids was distributed that way. Sign is shiney polished metal with a painted red graphics. Slightly embossed. Six factory mounting holes along the edges for secure mounting on the Hires barrel. Sign measures 12 inches long and 7 inches wide. Curve measures about 3 inches in the center. Of course there is some flex to the sign for enlargement to the barrels shape. Sign says " DRINK" in the upper corner. Bottom corner says " FOR THRIST AND CHEER"'.. Middle circle says, "HIRES Root Beer 5 cents". That of course meant 5 cents a glass. Curved barrel sign has some scratches,scuffs,and rubs. It also has some tiny dents from the barrel being rough housed along at the ware house. Nice collection or single display piece. Buyer to pay ship/ins $11.40 in USA and slightly more in Canada. Pay Pal ok-MO.
