NED FOLTZ REDWARE POTTERY RHEINHOLD,PENNSYLVANIA 2005 SIGNED AND DATED Absolutely gorgeous Snowman plate, by potter Ned Foltz! Such a beautiful piece of redware for every collector of Ned Foltz pottery ! I love the deep dark redware color! It measures 9 and 1/2 inches across. The edges are pie crimped with dark brown and swirls of red gold. The plate has lots of snow falling as a background! Just delightful! T is a wonderful fence and trees of blue,gold red and green. Lots of work on this beautiful plate! The snowman has a wonderful hat and scarf!The squiggle lines in the pictures are my overhead lights making a glare and are not on the plate. Think this took better pictures! The glare isn't so bad! Really sorry for the glare in the pictures, but tried every kind of light and the glaze just wants to shine! This plate is in mint condition! It has never been displayed! Original price was well over $100.00. Absolutely wonderful work by Ned Foltz! Ned Foltz, potter, uses methods of former German potters of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Like that used in the 18th and 19th centuries. He uses traditional methods of throwing and glazing. His pottery is free of lead , so can be used safely with food and drink.
